Rules and Regulation

Entry is permitted with ID card only

φ

Strict decorum and discipline must be maintained in the Library. Silence, cleanliness and orderliness must be observed strictly at all times. Chairs must be pushed back against the table after using and must not be transferred from one place to another. Indiscipline may lead to disciplinary action and the library privileges may be withdrawn.

φ

Members are requested not to bring their bags, folders, etc inside, must be left in the personal belonging area outside the library.

φ

The Library follows an open access system. Books or other materials taken from the stacks should not be misplaced. The library staff can help you or otherwise should left on the table.

φ

The library will be open on all the working days from 8.45 A.M to 6.30 P.M. The borrowing period is between 9:00 A.M.  to 5:00 P.M.

φ

The Loan period for UG & PG, students are allowed to borrow a maximum of 3 & 6 books for a period of two weeks, staff can borrow 6 books for 30days. 2 renewal permitted for all.

φ

Books will be issued only against the production of library tickets. The books should be returned on or before the due date, which is marked on overdue slip in the last page of the book issued. A fine of 1.00 rupee per day will be imposed for late returning of books.

φ

Documents, belonging to ‘Reference’ category, are not issued.

φ

Borrowers must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of the books before borrowing. They shall be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of returning the book(s).

φ

The loss of library cards should be brought to the notice of the librarian in writing immediately. The duplicate card will be issued at the cost of Rs. 25/-.

φ

The college Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate will be issued to student only after he/ she has returned all the Library books and cleared all library dues.

φ

Writing or underlining in a book or tampering with a book in any manner is strictly prohibited.

φ

If the user find any required book or journal un available in the library, they can make entry in the suggestion register. It reviewed and approved at the time of LAC meeting 

φ

On leaving the Library, all users are requested to extend their cooperation for the inspection of all books and items taken out of the Library.

φ

Digital Library is to be used for academic purposes only

φ

Online Chatting browsing of social networking sites is strictly prohibited.

Profile

Information has assumed greater significance than ever as a vital resource in teaching- learning process. The complementary role of the library as an inevitable partner in an educational institute needs no new mention. Many new dimensions have been added to the library. Electronic information resource as an important component of the library in growing year after year. The computer has swept the library in all it is operations-storage and dissemination of information.

The college library since from 2007 in a humble way has grown in many directions fulfilling the ever increasing information needs of the departments on one hand and keeping abreast of the emerging technologies relating to library.

The college is satisfied on the achievements of the library. There is need for a special mention on a few counts:

  •  The Library is extensively utilized. Special care is taken to educate and encourage its users on the importance of reading.
  •  Text books are made available maintaining reasonable student- book ratio.
  •  Special care has been taken to develop digital library with air – conditioned facility.
  •  All operations are automated using standard software.
  •  There are optimum number of persons on the staff of the library, and
  •  The volume of library services provided to the users are highly satisfactory.

The management of the college has granted special attention on development of the library as a hub on the campus. The library has determined program to create best services possible. This can be very well assessed through the large budgetary allocations made for the materials and services. Ambitious programs are afoot for further improvement of the service.

Description:

  • The Kongunadu- TVS Harita Centre of Excellence was established during the academic year 2015-2016.
  • The primary aim of establishing the lab was to enhance students industry readiness and provide them with employability skills. This initiative focuses on equipping standards with hands on experience and practical skills align with industry standard.
  • The Laboratory is equipped with advanced computer systems designed to support CATIA V5, DELMIA V5-EDU12, and 3D VIA software.
  • In this CoE laboratory, students were trained by industry experts, offering valuable industry-oriented practical exposure.
  • The laboratory serves as a platform for students to engage with industry professionals, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
  • Industry experts conduct intensive training sessions and certify 8 faculty members.
  • The students are trained in CATIA V5, DELMIA V5-EDU12, and 3D VIA software’s at the TVS Harita CoE laboratory, and successfully got placements at TVS Harita Techserv Ltd.
