KNCET is recognized as Host institute for Business Incubation(BI)

MSME has recognised our institute as host business incubator for implementation of the scheme “Support for Entrepreneurial and Managerial Development of MSME’s through Incubators” during the 7th Project Monitoring and Advisory Committee (PMAC) held in the month of March 2021.

This scheme will support ideas of students and start-ups with a grant of up to Rs. 15,00,000/- each and a total of 10 projects can be submitted under this scheme.

Objective:

  • To provide opportunity to the individual entrepreneurs in developing & nurturing their ideas into start-up that involve innovative, societally important, and environmentally relevant technologies.
  • To provide mentoring ,finance and marketing support to potential entrepreneurs for business incubation with a viable business plan.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)

Vision

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India.

Mission

The Mission of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to enable higher educational institutions to work with the people of rural India in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth. It also aims to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.

Goals

  • To build an understanding of the development agenda within institutes of Higher Education and an institutional capacity and training relevant to national needs, especially those of rural India.
  • To re-emphasize the need for field work, stake-holder interactions and design for societal objectives as the basis of higher education.
  • To stress on rigorous reporting and useful outputs as central to developing new professions.
  • To provide rural India and regional agencies with access to the professional resources of the institutes of higher education, especially those that have acquired academic excellence in the field of science, engineering and technology, and management.
  • To improve development outcomes as a consequence of this research. To develop new professions and new processes to sustain and absorb the outcomes of research.
  • To foster a new dialogue within the larger community on science, society and the environment and to develop a sense of dignity and collective destiny.

AE Programme's PEOs, PSOs and POs

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES(PEOs)

PEO1: Graduates shall become agricultural professionals with specialization in irrigation, farm equipments, post harvest and renewable energy along with automation.

PEO2: Graduates shall able to design and develop optimistic products for the benefits of farmer and society.

PEO3: Graduates shall have professional ethics, team spirit, life-long learning, adopt corporate culture, core values and leadership skills and communication skills.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs) 

PSO1: Professional skills: Students shall understand, analyze, design and develop agricultural equipments to meet the requirements of farmer and industry.

PSO2: Competency: Students shall qualify at the State, National and International level competitive examination for employment, higher studies and research.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

Engineering Graduates will be able to:

  • Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  • The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  • Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
  • Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
